


With the aim of ensuring the conservation of all digital files, Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research subscribes to the requirements of the Moscow Declaration approved by the International Conference on "The Preservation of Digital Information in the Information Society: Problems and Perspectives" organized by the UNESCO Information for All Programme (IFAP) (2011).
These requirements state that: "access to information is essential for building knowledge societies, and systematic preservation is the basis for the continuity of information transmission from generation to generation" (UNESCO, 2011) http://portal.unesco.org/es/ev.php-URL_ID=49358&URL_DO=DO_TOPIC&URL_SECTION=201.html.
Based on the above, Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research adopts and adheres to the following fundamental principles:
Taking into account that digital documents, which have been produced and preserved over time and space, are essential for the creation and expression of knowledge, and have an impact on all areas of human civilization and its future evolution. The documentary heritage that reflects the development of human thought, historical events, the evolution of languages, cultures, peoples, and their understanding of the world is recognized. The importance of documentary heritage in promoting the exchange of knowledge, fostering mutual understanding, dialogue, peace, respect for freedom, democracy, human rights, and dignity is highlighted. The preservation of documentary heritage, which contributes to intercultural education, personal enrichment, scientific and technological advances, and is a vital resource for development, is observed. The preservation and long-term accessibility of documentary heritage are considered fundamental to ensuring human rights to freedom of opinion, expression, and information. Universal access to documentary heritage must take into account both the legitimate rights of rights holders and the public interest in its preservation and accessibility.
In order to preserve the digital heritage and prevent the loss of information, Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research uses the following mechanisms:
System: Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research performs daily backups using the JetBackup utility included in the PKP service where the journal is hosted. These backups are stored in a different partition. Technical Support: Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research has a team of highly trained professionals responsible for providing technical support for document preservation. This team performs monthly backups of all journal contents. Preventive Storage: Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research ensures that there is more than one copy on the computer. Digital Formats: Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research stores information in WORD and PDF formats.
Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research carries out systematic preservation actions, such as consistency checks, technology migration, and preservation.
A policy that allows authors to deposit versions of their articles
Some authors wish to deposit a copy of their article in an institutional repository or another of their choice. Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research allows authors to deposit their articles regarding the different versions of the article:
Additionally, Mentor Journal of Educational and Sports Research permits the preservation of articles in PKP PN.
