Process for Article Submission

Article Submission Process

All text fields will allow opening boxes to enter text in Spanish and English. Use the ones you need and click anywhere on the white area outside the boxes to continue entering information in the following fields.

Step 1. Start

  1. Select the submission language.
  2. Select the section to which the article will be submitted (Review Article, Original Article, or Essay).
  3. Accept the five (5) article submission requirements, meaning the submitted article must meet the required characteristics by MENTOR Revista de Investigación Educativa y Deportiva.
  4. Write any comments for the editor (optional).
  5. Check the box to submit as "Author."
  6. Read the copyright, reader rights, and privacy statement.
  7. Check the box "I agree to comply with the terms of the copyright statement."
  8. Check the box "Yes, I consent to my data being collected and stored in accordance with the policy statement."
  9. Click "Save and continue."

Step 2. Upload the submission

The author must download the originality declaration form, fill it out completely, and insert the scanned or electronic signature in the indicated field within the form. When there are several authors, fill in the information and signatures of each one within the same file: there is space for up to five co-authors. This file will be uploaded after uploading the file with the article text. It is clarified that a single file with the corresponding information of all co-authors will be uploaded.

  1. Click "Upload File" or "Add File" to open a window where you will locate the file (article) on your computer.
  2. Locate the file with the article you want to upload and select it.
  3. Once the document is uploaded, click the Article Text button.
  4. Click the "Add File" button to open a window where you will locate the file (Originality Declaration and author data) on your computer.
  5. Locate the file with the document "Originality Declaration and author data" you want to upload and select it.
  6. Once the document "Originality Declaration and author data" is uploaded, click the Originality Declaration and author data button.
  7. If you have supplementary files to attach to your submission, you can click "Submit another file" to do so. After attaching all files, click "Other" and choose the option that best describes this file.
  8. Click "Save and continue."

Step 3. Enter Metadata

Note: All metadata must be entered in Spanish and English.

  1. Enter the title, subtitle (only if required, otherwise do not), and abstract of the article.
  2. To complete the author information, click the arrow pointing to the name in the "Authorship and collaborators" section, and then on the "Edit" link. There you can add the country, URL, ORCID Affiliation (name of the institution to which you are affiliated or work and the city, describing in detail up to the position you hold) and a biographical summary (describe everything related to your academic and work experience). You must fill in all the spaces marked with an asterisk. You may introduce a biographical summary (this information will not be available to the reviewers, only to the editor).
  3. If the article has more than one author, use the "Add collaborator" button to add the requested data as in point two (2).
  4. Complete the indexing: coverage information (if applicable), rights (if applicable), academic discipline, keywords (press enter after entering each keyword or phrase, enter one keyword at a time), and bibliographic references (citations).
  5. Enter the names of supporting agencies, if applicable.
  6. Click "Save and continue."

Step 4. Confirmation

  1. In this step, you will see the message: Your submission has been uploaded and is ready to be sent. You can go back to review and adjust the information you wish before continuing. When ready, click "Finalize submission." You can go back to any of the previous three steps: 1. Start, 2. Upload submission, 3. Enter Metadata, to review or correct any information.
  2. Once satisfied with the provided information, click the "Finalize submission" button. A confirmation window will appear, "Are you sure you want to submit this article to the journal?" Click the "Accept" button.

Step 5. Next steps:

After a few seconds, the following information will appear:

Submission complete The journal has been notified of your submission, and a confirmation email will be sent for your records. When the editor has reviewed the submission, they will contact you.

Application of publication charges

IMPORTANT NOTE

MENTOR Revista de Investigación Educativa y Deportiva does not charge any article processing charges (APC) to make your work available in open access.
MENTOR Revista de Investigación Educativa y Deportiva currently does not apply charges for the processing or publication of articles.
