SIT Training Program and VO₂ Max Consumption in Athletes from the Darío Mina Specialized Sports Club

El entrenamiento de alta intensidad se utilizó en el fútbol juvenil para desarrollar la capacidad aeróbica, aunque su respuesta dependió de la edad, la carga y la duración de la intervención. Se evaluó el efecto de un programa de entrenamiento interválico de sprint sobre el consumo máximo de oxígeno en futbolistas de 14 años del Club Deportivo Especializado Darío Mina. Se desarrolló un estudio cuantitativo con diseño preexperimental de un solo grupo, integrado por 14 deportistas varones. El consumo máximo de oxígeno se estimó mediante el Course Navette de 20 metros antes y después de una intervención de seis meses, aplicada dos veces por semana. La media aumentó de 45,53 a 50,14 mililitros por kilogramo por minuto, con una variación media del 10,12 %, y todos los participantes presentaron valores finales superiores a los iniciales. Los cambios observados fueron consistentes con antecedentes sobre entrenamiento de alta intensidad en futbolistas juveniles, aunque la ausencia de grupo de control limitó la atribución causal. Se concluyó que este tipo de entrenamiento pudo complementar la preparación cardiorrespiratoria en futbolistas adolescentes cuando se aplicó con progresión de carga y recuperación controlada.
