Características del acompañamiento clínico asociadas con el desarrollo de autonomía y competencia en estudiantes de enfermería

El acompañamiento clínico constituyó un componente relevante en la formación de estudiantes de enfermería, debido a su relación con la participación progresiva en situaciones reales de cuidado, la toma de decisiones y el desarrollo de la competencia clínica. El objetivo fue analizar las características del acompañamiento clínico asociadas con el desarrollo de la autonomía y la competencia en estudiantes de enfermería. Se realizó una revisión documental narrativa de literatura científica relacionada con supervisión clínica, mentoría, preceptoría y experiencias de aprendizaje durante las prácticas. El análisis mostró que la autonomía se relacionó con la progresión de responsabilidades, las oportunidades reales de participación y la disponibilidad del acompañante para proporcionar apoyo cuando la situación lo requirió. También se identificó que la retroalimentación específica, la reflexión, la seguridad psicológica, la continuidad del acompañamiento y la preparación del preceptor estuvieron vinculadas con mejores condiciones para el desarrollo de la competencia. Se concluyó que el acompañamiento clínico favoreció el desarrollo profesional cuando articuló apoyo, participación, evaluación y responsabilidad progresiva dentro de un entorno clínico que permitió avanzar hacia una práctica cada vez más independiente.
