Abstract

There are academies that still don't understand the main focus and emphasize that there's no time to waste! This makes children's sports understand that they must create superstars, where the only thing that matters is the results. The main objective of this research is to analyze the role of the coach in the sports initiation process, identifying their contribution to the comprehensive development of children. This research was based on the PRISMA protocol guidelines. To do so, scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 were examined, which were consulted in recognized databases, including articles in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. The results show that Brazil and Spain lead the scientific production on the subject, with a predominance of qualitative review studies and the use of surveys and questionnaires as the main instruments. The findings were organized into five dimensions: coach profile, teaching methodologies, values training, fostering autonomy, and performance evaluation. The importance of the coach's role in sports initiation in children's soccer is highlighted. Considering that it's not just about passes and goals, but goes much further, with a human being concerned with the support and training of the little ones, where the ball is just the beginning.
