Zumba Fitness for the Improvement of Quality of Life in Young Adults:A Systematic Review

Zumba Fitness as a class-based activity is significant because it nurtures young adults across various dimensions. Managing daily life in the family, at work, and in social settings represents a real challenge for young adults. Zumba Fitness, through its rhythms and movements, is a physical exercise program — it contributes to emotional well-being and enhances social interactions. better quality of life. Therefore, the aim of this study was to analyze the impact of Zumba Fitness on improving quality of life in terms of physical, mental, and social health. This research was conducted using the PRISMA methodology as a systematic review. Using this approach, the authors reviewed documents available in Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo, Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar. The review included articles published in English and Spanish between 2019 and 2024, of which 16 articles helped us in the research. The findings confirm that practicing Zumba Fitness has a positive impact on increasing self-esteem, improving physical condition, and enhancing quality of life. It also shows clear benefits for the emotional well-being of young adults and others who participate in this activity.
