Obstetric violence is a public health and human rights issue that occurs during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. The aim of this study was to analyze the perception of obstetric violence among postpartum women attending an extended services health center in Puebla, Mexico. A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 50 women selected through convenience sampling. A validated scale of obstetric violence perception was applied, and scores were transformed into a 0–100 index and categorized into low, medium, and high levels. The results showed the presence of different levels of perceived obstetric violence, including practices related to limitations in communication, informed consent, and companionship during childbirth. Experiences associated with non-humanized care were also identified. In conclusion, the findings highlight the persistence of practices that may compromise women’s rights and emphasize the need to strengthen person-centered care approaches, respect for autonomy, and quality of care during the reproductive process.
