Body Expression in the Inclusion of Students with Special Educational Needs in Physical Education Class

The purpose of this work was to develop methodological strategies based on body expression, to promote the inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Physical Education classes. It was held in an educational institution, with the participation of 124 students, 15 teachers and a member of the Student Counseling Department (DECE). The research was approached from a mixed approach and a questionnaire adapted from the Inclusion index was used and complemented with a structured observation sheet. The results of the study showed that the educational institution has inclusive practices and policies in the process of consolidation, which favor the participation of students with SEN, but still present aspects that must be strengthened. Based on these findings, a methodological proposal was designed that was validated by specialists, who highlighted its clarity, feasibility and possibility of being replicated in other educational environments to generate more inclusive school spaces.
