Digital sedentary behavior is an emerging issue with a high impact on the physical, mental, and social health of children and adolescents, resulting from the excessive use of screens and a significant reduction in daily physical activity. The research aimed to analyze the perception of Physical Education teachers regarding the phenomenon of digital sedentary behavior and their role in implementing strategies based on green exercise and innovation in schoolyards. A quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study was conducted through a survey administered to 113 teachers. The results reveal that teachers clearly perceive the risks associated with digital sedentary behavior, such as obesity, postural disorders, anxiety, and low academic performance, and they recognize green exercise and the transformation of schoolyards as a viable strategy to foster active, healthy, and inclusive lifestyles. It is concluded that the re-signification of schoolyards as "green exercise" spaces is projected as an innovative and contextualized educational alternative to combat digital sedentary behavior in Ecuador, provided that it is articulated with public policies, teacher training, and the active participation of the educational community.
