Overview of Fitness Trends in Colombia for 2025

Abstract

In the current Fitness Sector Trend Survey for Colombia, for the year 2025, which is the seventh edition, the international survey conducted by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and other national surveys from countries such as Spain, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil, among others, continues to serve as a reference. A section has been structured with 15 questions aimed at identifying respondents' perceptions regarding the outlook, characteristics, needs, and impact of the fitness sector for 2025 in Colombia. A total of 980 responses were collected, equivalent to 49% of the number of forms sent to various stakeholders in the sector. The survey reveals that 86.73% of respondents positively indicate the importance of hiring qualified and certified personnel. Additionally, 81.43% report that the fitness sector should be given greater relevance and importance by various state agents, recognizing it as a space for promotion, prevention, and comprehensive well-being that contributes to public health processes. Furthermore, 72.43% believe there will be a significant expansion in the sector, which will allow the discovery of new niches and attract new users.
