The increasing digitalization of accounting processes has created new challenges for technical education. The aim of this study was to analyze the needs for integrating Enterprise Resource Planning tools into the teaching of accounting in the Technical High School program at San Antonio de Padua Educational Institution and to design a didactic strategy based on the Odoo platform to strengthen students’ technological and professional competencies. The research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach with a descriptive and propositional scope, employing a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The participants included 24 third-year Technical High School students specializing in Accounting and teachers from the accounting area. Data were collected through surveys, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. The results revealed a favorable disposition toward the incorporation of ERP tools, difficulties in the manual execution of accounting processes such as payroll management, bank reconciliation, and inventory control, as well as a limited presence of business management platforms within educational activities. It is concluded that the integration of ERP tools constitutes a relevant alternative for strengthening the connection between accounting education, digital competencies, and the technological demands of the professional environment.
